Lou Koller died on 24 July 2026 after treatment for oesophageal cancer. Sick Of It All remembered the energy, commitment and humour he brought to almost forty years of shows. Musicians and listeners had also rallied around him during his illness.
Treatment Costs And Lost Touring Income
When Koller shared his diagnosis in 2024, fellow musicians and listeners helped cover treatment and lost touring income. After his illness returned, Sweet Relief established the Koller Family Fund to continue that support.
Support Beyond The Tributes
Hardcore talks a lot about family. Helping with hospital bills and lost work is one way to put that into practice. The campaign couldn't take away what Koller and his family were facing, but it meant they weren't facing every cost alone.
We'll keep returning to the records and remembering the shows. His family will also keep living with the loss long after the tribute posts, and they deserve that continued support.
