LUNA KILLS have released ‘supervillain’, their second single of 2026 after ‘LOWER’. The SharpTone track runs for two minutes, and its official video premiered on 25 September.

Vocalist Lotta Ruutiainen uses the sun going supernova as a metaphor for people who take the air out of every room. In her explanation, their influence grows with their ego until the collapse starts hurting everybody around them.

It is a more exact idea than the title alone suggests, and the band keeps it compact rather than stretching it into a bigger announcement. There is no new album attached to the single yet.

Lucy Alienne Visuals directed the video. The Finnish band released their debut album, DEATHMATCH, through SharpTone in 2025.
