Vans Warped Tour Montreal opens at Parc Jean-Drapeau on 21 August and continues on 22 August. The official lineup puts more than 70 artists across the weekend, from current metalcore and deathcore to the emo and skate-punk bands that shaped earlier Warped bills.
A Day To Remember are an obvious draw if you like the overlap between metalcore and pop punk. Despised Icon bring deathcore back to their home city, with Comeback Kid adding Canadian hardcore. Jimmy Eat World and Pennywise are there for the emo and skate-punk crowd.
The appeal of Warped has always been catching bands from different parts of the scene on the same day. There's enough crossover here to wander beyond the acts you already know.
