Ben Quad have released ‘I Only Let You Down Now’, a standalone single issued through Pure Noise Records on 12 October. It is their first new song since the 2025 album Wisher, but it does not sound like a loose leftover from that record. The band have pushed the guitars forward again and written something that connects more directly with their earlier emo material.

The song is about recognising a pattern you thought you had already escaped. Ben Quad frame that idea without turning it into a clean redemption story: the verses keep circling excuses and repeated mistakes, while the chorus stays fixed on the damage those habits cause. The tension comes from knowing what needs to change before proving that it will.

Ben Quad, I Only Let You Down Now (Official Music Video)Watch Ben Quad’s official video for ‘I Only Let You Down Now’, released through Pure Noise Records on 12 October 2026.

The UK tour starts in Manchester

The release lands one day before Ben Quad begin a ten-date UK headline tour with RILEY! at YES in Manchester. The route continues through Newcastle, Glasgow, Birmingham, Leeds, Kingston, Brighton, Bristol and Southampton before finishing at Dingwalls in London on 24 October.

That timing gives the single a job beyond filling the space between albums. ‘I Only Let You Down Now’ is a new opening statement for a tour built around Wisher, and a reminder that Ben Quad’s sharpest ideas still come from placing technical guitar work inside songs that feel immediate rather than ornamental.
