Oso Oso will release an exchange of information on 6 November. The 12-song record is the Long Island band's sixth album and the first release from Feral Twin Records, the new independent label founded by Hop Along drummer Mark Quinlan.
The first public single, know you know me better, is out now. The Nights, which was sent to fans during the tour presale in August, also appears on the record as track three.
From A Reissue Conversation To A New Album
Feral Twin's release notes say Jade Lilitri already had a batch of nearly finished songs when Quinlan called about reissuing older Oso Oso records. Rights to that catalogue made the idea difficult, so the conversation moved to funding a new album instead. Lilitri was in the studio about two weeks later.
Lilitri and guitarist Eddy Rodriguez spent two weeks at BirthdayLand Studios outside Albany with producer and engineer Dan Maddalone and drummer Joe Taurrone. Billy Mannino later completed the mix at Two Worlds. Feral Twin describes the result as harder and more direct than 2024's life till bones.
A label begins with one record
Feral Twin describes itself as artist-owned, run and managed. This Oso Oso release opens its catalogue, with three vinyl pressings available.
Oso Oso's previously announced October and November North American tour is also in our live finder. You can find the original tour report in the archive.
