Burner have released their second album, No One Is Coming to Save Us, through Church Road Records. Lewis Johns produced, engineered, mixed and mastered the record at The Ranch Production House.
The guest list is specific rather than crowded. Josh Middleton appears on ‘What Will You Give’, Matt Heafy on ‘Sunrise, Parabellum’ and Cult Leader vocalist Anthony Lucero on ‘Kurtz’.
The stranger structural choice sits outside those features. Burner open with the 7:45 ‘The Third Revelation’ and close with ‘Agni Kai’ at 7:39, putting two long songs around a much tighter middle section.
Vocalist Harry Nott describes the record as an examination of repeated violence and whether people can move beyond it. Chris Gallagher, working as MISERY TAKE ME, created the artwork and layout.
