To Write Love on Her Arms began in 2006 to help a friend access treatment and share her story honestly. Shirts, festival tables and benefit events brought the organisation into alternative and emo scenes where people recognised what it was talking about.
Finding Help After Recognising Yourself
TWLOHA's work covers depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. Its Find Help tool directs people towards care. Feeling understood can make it easier to speak, but knowing where to get support matters too.
People Came Back Years Later
TWLOHA's impact reports include people who first found the organisation at Warped Tour and returned years later to talk about recovery. For some, the shirt was an early sign that someone else understood what they were going through.
The help finder, treatment support and those ongoing conversations are the part that lasts beyond a festival weekend.
