Crown Magnetar have released their third album, The Hollowing Of Godflesh, through Unique Leader Records. The ten-track record follows 2023’s Everything Bleeds and last year’s Punishment EP.
It is the first Crown Magnetar album recorded with guitarist Rob Maramonte. His previous bands include Fallujah and The Zenith Passage, while his live work includes Thy Art Is Murder and All Shall Perish. That is a useful personnel change, not just an extra name in the credits.
Bassist Michael Sahm produced the album. He has handled the band’s recordings since their early releases, so the new guitar lineup arrives without changing the person behind the desk.
Heath Thompson of Flesh Carving appears on ‘Sculptures Of Suffering’. The rest of the tracklist includes the earlier singles ‘Desecrate Infinite’, ‘Impaled Genesis’, ‘Godkiller’ and ‘Dead Crown’.
