Signs of the Swarm have released a studio cover of Rob Zombie's Dragula through Century Media Records. The Pittsburgh band had already been playing the 1998 song live since summer 2025; on 24 August, that crowd-tested version became a standalone single.
The hook stays, the guitars drop lower
The cover keeps Dragula's industrial pulse and instantly recognisable chorus. Underneath it, the guitars sit lower, the drums sound wider and David Simonich moves from a clipped command into a much deeper deathcore delivery. The band change plenty without losing the rhythm that made the original work.
Drummer Bobby Crow says the band considered The Prodigy, Slayer and Static-X before choosing Dragula. Once they took it to producer and engineer Josh Schroeder, the core arrangement came together in a day.
The video has a crowded guest list
Eric DiCarlo directed the video, and the guest list is ridiculous in the best way. Bam Margera appears alongside Will Ramos of Lorna Shore, Matt Greiner of August Burns Red, Trey Williams of Dying Fetus, Jack Murray of 156/Silence and Tyler Beam of The Last Ten Seconds of Life, among others.
The chorus is still impossible to miss, even with the guitars tuned lower and Simonich taking it into deathcore. That's what makes this cover fun.
