Northlane have released ‘Crucified’, the third single from Anemoia. Their seventh album is due on 30 October and is available to pre-order through the band’s official campaign.
‘Crucified’ sits between several points in Northlane’s catalogue. The groove and pacing recall Mesmer, while the electronics and clean chorus sit closer to Alien and Obsidian.
That combination is more useful than a simple ‘return to form’ claim. Across ‘Evian’, ‘CUT_it’ and now ‘Crucified’, Anemoia is pulling from several versions of Northlane rather than recreating one earlier record.
Northlane will support Dayseeker on their UK and European tour later this year alongside Siamese. The run reaches Melkweg in Amsterdam on 18 December.
