Blondie have announced High Noon for 26 February 2027 through BMG. It is their twelfth studio album and first collection of new material since Pollinator in 2017. Opening single ‘Spectral Eyes’ is out now.
The record also carries a weight no one expected when sessions began: it contains the final Blondie recordings by co-founding drummer Clem Burke. Burke died in April 2025, after the band had started tracking the album together in New York.

Johnny Marr opens the guest list
Johnny Marr wrote ‘Spectral Eyes’ and plays guitar on it. Elsewhere, High Noon includes contributions from Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock, Beirut’s Zach Condon and Lucius singers Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig. Blondie say punk and rock sit beside dance music and Latin rhythms across the 13 tracks.
“This music feels grounded in the present, shaped by who we are and how we're living now.”

John Congleton, who also worked on Pollinator, produced the New York sessions. David Wrench joined later for additional production and mixing. That continuity matters: this is a return after a nine-year gap, but Blondie have not treated it as a museum piece.
Thirteen songs and a look back to the downtown years
The tracklist moves from ‘Spectral Eyes’ through ‘Heartbreak Kid’, ‘Come Back Home’ and ‘Tambo Tambo’. ‘Sleepwalking’, written by Matlock, brings the record back towards punk, while ‘Little Metal Drummer’ revisits a Jimmy Destri song that Harry and Burke originally performed on. ‘Ah, Sunflower, Weary of Time’ closes the album.
High Noon will be released on vinyl, CD and cassette. ‘Spectral Eyes’ is available now through Blondie’s official streaming page.
