Before My Chemical Romance closed their San Antonio show with The Foundations of Decay, Gerard Way spoke about the late Doug McKean, the producer and close friend who helped shape that song.
Way said making Decay left the band wanting to keep going. McKean died two months after the single arrived, and the momentum stopped.
Wanting A Record Is Not Announcing One
Way told the crowd that My Chemical Romance have always wanted another record and hope life allows it. He said they would love to make one soon, but he does not know when.
That distinction matters. There is no title, studio confirmation or release date. It is still the clearest sign since the reunion that album five remains alive in the band's thinking.
