My Chemical Romance will release The Black Parade (20th Anniversary) through Reprise Records on 23 October. It includes the original album and six bonus recordings, including a newly released live version of The Sharpest Lives from Hoboken.
The band describe it as the first collection to gather everything they finished during the original sessions. Heaven Help Us, Kill All Your Friends and My Way Home Is Through You sit beside live recordings of Dead!, The Sharpest Lives and Someone Out There Loves You on the deluxe configurations.
James Jean returns to the parade
James Jean has created three new pieces of artwork for the anniversary editions. His original illustrations were such a big part of this record's identity, so it's good to see him involved again. My Chemical Romance say they wanted the music and artwork to honour the life listeners have given the album over two decades.
The band have spent the past eighteen months bringing The Black Parade to stadiums. Now there's a chance to go back to the recordings, with those extra songs alongside the album.
