All Shall Perish are back without a label, manager or completed album budget. They're seeking $75,000 through Kickstarter, with an all-or-nothing deadline on 3 October. Be as Kings, Be as Gods is already out if you want to hear where they're heading.
The Costs Don't Disappear
Recording, manufacturing, artwork and fulfilment still need paying for without a label advance. The campaign puts those costs in front of listeners, who would be backing the record before hearing the whole thing.
A Single To Go With The Campaign
The band recorded the single with Zack Ohren, with Nick Loiacono handling tracking, Seth Munson mastering and Caean Stokkermans creating the artwork. It gives potential backers something to listen to alongside the pitch.
If the target is met, fans will have helped fund the album upfront. That's a direct way to support the comeback, though backing an unfinished record carries a risk.
